2018 Pictures for the Year in Review

Vina's Birthday Celebration 2017 ended with a celebration of Vina’s 75^th birthday with family. It was special.
During the holidays, we were able to get together with Buzzy and Susan and Carole. Always a special treat to see old friends. Holiday Dinner with Buzzy, Susan and Carole
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Christmas Eve Tamales with the family.
In March we went on an adventure to Patagonia. We visited Argentina and Chile and traveled down to the southern tip of South America. Below are day-by-day pictures of that trip:

Later in March we joined friends to participate in the March for Gun Safety at the capital in Phoenix.
Also in March we hosted a Family Get Together with several of Vina’s cousins. Great to see them and to get together.
April we were at the New Frontiers Annual Picnic.
In May we headed over to San Diego where we joined friends for Kentucky Derby Day at Hugh and Susan's

In June we celebrated Gary's 73rd Birthday Dinner with Family
A local Italian restaurant holds a monthly dinner with wine pairings. Always a good time. July Wine Dinner
In July we took the drive up to Palm Springs to help good friend Bob Serrano celebrate his birthday. Bob's Birthday at Billy Reed's.
We enjoyed a Champagne Brunch with Doug and Kathy at a Rancho Bernardo Newcomer’s event
Gary’s Uncle Howard passed away after a long good life and we attended his Memorial/Burial at Sea. I think that this is what I want when my time comes. While the occasion was sad, it was good to reconnect with family.
At the end of July we attended a San Diego Symphony Beethoven by the Bay. Wonderful!
Good friends Dave and Karen Schwalm came for a visit and we visited SeaWorld. SeaWorld with Dave and Karen.
We also went to a wine dinner. A good time was had by all! Wine Dinner with Dave and Karen and Doug and Kathy
We went on a Tour of Commercial Port of San Diego. A lot more to the commercial port than we had thought.
We took tour of the Gemological Institute of America. Fascinating.
We celebrated our 48^th Anniversary and a Birthday dinner at sunset in Del Mar with family.
Back in Tempe, we attended the New Frontiers Fall Open House. It was a sad day as it was the last time we were able to be with Con Downey as he died later that day in an automobile accident.
In October we attended the annual Ajo Reunion Lunch with friends who had grown up in Ajo.
The ASURA Luncheon and Speaker - Colleen Jennings-Roggensack was at the end of October.
In November Vina’s Spanish Group visited the Phoenix Art Museum to see the Teotihuacan exhibition.
We celebrated Thanksgiving 2018 with family in San Diego.
Along with Vera and John and Cricket, we went to Houston to help Vina’s brother Hector celebrate his 79th Birthday.
